CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS.

Students  of the Ashirwad Public High School are expected to abide by the code of conduct as laid down by the School.

Classes:- Nursery to U.K.G                    : 7.30 a.m.  to  12.30 p.m.  (Summer)      8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. (Winter)

Classes:- I to XII                                   :  7.30 a.m. to 1.30 P.m.    (Summer)        8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. (Winter)

Office Timing                                       :  8.00a.m. to 4.00p.m.    (Summer/winter)

OUR EXPECTATIONS (SCHOOL RULES)

  1. Punctually : All students to be in school by 7.25 a.m.
  2. Appropriate language at all times.
  3. Complete abstinence from violence.
  4. No bullying .No ragging. No extortion.
  5. No public demonstration of affection.
  6. Complete respect and allegiance to the school and student community. This includes exemplary behavior outside school at all times as true ambassadors of the school both while in uniform and out of uniform.
  7. Silence and discipline in the silence zones.
  8. Students are not allowed to come to school in self driven cars even if they are 18 years old.
  9. Meeting of deadlines for assignment and projects.
  10. Transactions at the canteen will only during lunch
  11. Students are not to exchange birthday gifts or any other gifts in school. Cut flowers and exchange of bouquets is also discouraged at school.
  12. Students are required to wear their student ID cards at all times. They will not be allowed to enter without it.

Fee payment system:- Fee to be paid by 15th  of each month. Incase of delay in payment beyond 15th there will be a fine of Rs 25/- month.

Lunch & Bus fee

Students opting for bus facility will have to pay bus charges for 11 months irrespective of actual usage. This is because we have to commit ourselves to the contractors before providing these services.

Medical Policy

As per the School’s medical policy in case a student is involved in an accident during school hours, the doctor consultations charges for the first times will be borne by the school. All charges towards lab tests as well as any subsequent charges, including admissions etc. will have to be borne by the parents.

Withdrawal

If for any reason parents require to withdraw their child from school they need to give one calendar month’s notice. If the withdrawal form is submitted the 7 th of a month, the subsequent month will be treated as a month’s notice period and fees will be charged for that month.

Arrival in school

School starts at 8.00a.m. hence students should plan to be in school by 7.55 a.m. in winters and 7.25 a.m. in summers. Students are expected to report straight to their classroom for attendance.

Consequences of Late Arrival

Students arriving at the campus later than 8.00 a.m. will be sent home after three warnings.

Dispersal by bus

  1. Parents are expected to take full responsibility for collection of their child from the bus stop.
  2. Kindly note that the school reserves the right to re-route of withdraw a bus route at any point of time.
  3. Student will not be allowed to stop the bus at any non-designated stop.
  4. Students need to be punctual at the stop. They need to ensure that they report to the stop ten minutes before  the time of the bus specified on the website. The bus may reach the designated stop 10 earlier of later than the scheduled tome ( morning  /afternoon.) depending on the traffic situation.
  5. Students need to wait for the bus to come to a halt before boarding of disembarking.
  6. Students must be seated in the bus at all times and stand only when the bus comes to a halt.
  7. Students must exit and enter through the front door.
  8. The bus must not be littered or vandalized.
  9. Students must ensure they do not throw anything out of bus windows or doors.
  10. Students must maintain order in the bus so as to provide minimal distraction to driver.
  11. Student may not disembark the bus at any stop other than their authorized stop. Drivers are only authorized to stop at designated stops.
  12. Negligence or rash driving must be reported to the Head of School immediately.
  13. Students are expected to ensure the safety and well being of students junior to them.
  14. Inappropriate behavior will meet with consequences. withdrawal of the bus facility could be one. All school rules apply within the  school bus as well.
  15. Any change in the bus route /stop/etc. should be notified a week in advance to transport in charge/Administrator.
  16. The students should carry a consent note from the parents in case he/she does not  travel back by bus on a particular day, which should be signed by the Class Teacher and Vice Principal and submitted to the Transport in Charge.
  17. If any student misses the bus due to any reason, the parents is expected to make their own pick up/drop off arrangements.
  18. The student will  debarred from the bus facility if found indulging in any kind of misconduct.

 Please Note

The school strongly urges parents to schedule doctor and dental appointments over weekends so as to be able to maximize each student’s academic hours in school.

Once students sign out of the school gate/premises they are taking complete responsibility for themselves with their parent’s consent.

 

Leave Applications

  1.  Leave of absence for a period of one, two or three days must be mentioned in the application and wherever possible applied for in advance.
  2. In case of long leave and/or when students take leave and the application must be accompanied by a statement of intended participation and addressed to the Principal. The school reserve the right to turn down the request.
  3. If a student has been absent on account of medical reasons the leave application needs to be accompanied by a medical certificate and submitted on the first day the student report back to school.

Attendance & Examination

If a student is absent for an assessment for any reason (other than representing school) .he/she will be marked absent.No    retest will be possible.

If a child remains absent for more than 20 days without intimation his/her name is liable to be struck off the rolls and dues adjusted.

Attendance

Student need to fulfill the attendance criteria of 75% attendance for the academic year in order to be considered for promotion.

Examination

  1. It is mandatory to undertake all school examinations. However, in case of illness, bereavement or other mitigating circumstances, a request letter supported by relevant document needs to be submitted to the Principal in order to granted ’special  leave’ .The Class Teacher must be informed as soon as possible in case of bereavement of emergency.
  2. Absence During Examination . If  exemption has been granted for an examination, the student will not be awarded zero.
  3. Achievement in the subject will be calculated on the average performance over the year.The student,however,will not be eligible for an Academic Award.

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Every student must poses a School diary which they should bring to the school everyday.
  2. Parents should check the diary regularly to look into the home task given and for the teachers remarks.
  3. It is strictly compulsory for each child to come to school in full uniform. A student who is not in proper uniform will not be allowed to enter the class.
  4. Students who come to school on their own should reach the school at-least five minutes before the school assembly. If they reach late they not be allowed to enter the school premises.
  5. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is advised not to bring valuable articles to the school like cell phone, ipad, camera etc.
  6. Parents or guardians are not allowed to see their child or meet teachers during active teaching hours.
  7. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, Insubordination to the teachers or any objectionable activity inside or outside the school premises, rude or disorderly behavior either during or beyond school hours are sufficient reasons for dismissal of a student.
  8. Leave is not granted except on prior written application from the parents.
  9. It is compulsory for the students to complete 75% of their attendance in the year to make them eligible to appear in their final examination.
  10. Passing marks for each subject is 40%. There will be no re-examination at any ground. Promotion will be granted if the child score 50% marks in the periodical test.
  11. The name class & section should be clearly marked on all belongings of the student.
  12. Any communication (complaint or request) made by the parents should be addressed to the principal and not to the class teacher.
  13. Parents and teacher meeting will be held every second Saturday of the month or as informed. All parents must come to the school for the meeting.
  14. If the parents feel any trouble from the rickshaw puller/Bus or about the study of their ward they should send the complaint in the dairy of their ward.
  15. The school authorities reserve the right to amend or alter the school rules, conveyance rules or other rules without any notice and without assigning any reason.
  16. Parents/Guardians are fully responsible for dropping their ward at school time and fetching after school is over.
